Know The Express Entry Application Requirements To Get Canadian PR

Express Entry serves as Canada's application management system encompassing three immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP). Applicants who have confirmed their eligibility for Express Entry will initially express their interest in acquiring Canadian permanent resident status to the Canadian government.

Upon submission of an online profile, the federal government evaluates whether the applicant qualifies for a program administered by Express Entry. If you want to immigrate to Canada through Express Entry, you may apply through a permanent resident consultant in Ludhiana for Canada for a successful application.

Qualified candidates are then admitted into the Express Entry pool and are assessed based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), a points-based system utilized by the government to evaluate and rank applicants within the pool. The CRS considers factors such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, among others. After confirming eligibility for Express Entry, meeting program requirements, and entering the candidate pool, applicants will be required to submit various supporting documents.

Which documents are mandatory for all applicants?

According to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), in most instances, the principal applicant, their spouse or common-law partner, and their dependent children, including non-accompanying children, are required to submit the following documentation:

Medical Examination:

A confirmation of a medical examination is needed to assess the health of the applicant and their family members. Starting from October 1st, 2023, an upfront immigration medical is no longer required upon submitting an application for Express Entry. Applicants will be instructed by IRCC on when to undergo the examination.

Police Certificates:

Police certificates serve as evidence that the applicant has no criminal record. These certificates from all countries where the applicant has resided for six months or more continuously within the last 10 years are mandatory. However, certificates are not required for periods before the age of 18. IRCC specifies that police certificates must be a scanned copy of the original in colour, as certified true copies and unauthorized copies are not accepted.

Proof of Identity:

Applicants must provide a copy of the biographical data page of a passport or travel document to verify their identity.

Proof of Work Experience:

Documentation confirming work experience is essential to substantiate each work-related claim and to ensure that the applicant meets program requirements.

Other documents required

1.     Proof of marriage or evidence of living together in a common-law relationship to confirm marital status claims.

2.     Documentation of divorce or legal separation agreements.

3.     Adoption certificate for verification of a dependent child's adopted status.

4.     Letter of employment offer from the employer to demonstrate the applicant's qualifying arranged employment.

5.     Copy of birth certificate or similar documentation to establish the relationship between parents and dependent children.
